I have heard it said that only humans and animals who are fed by humans get certain diseases, such as cancer.If that’s true it would seem that theses diseases, including cancer, have more to do with diet than other environmental factors. I believe in eating ‘live’ foods and so I think my chooks should as well. They forage during the day. I also grow weeds for them and I have started to give them both sprouted wheat and wheat grass on a regular basis. When I get a bit of time I intend to transplant some more yummy and nutritious weeds into their enclosure as well.
